What you can bring into Disney World
When planning a trip to Disney World, our private virtual VIP Disney World Tour Guides say it's important to know what items you are allowed to bring into the park. Disney provides specific guidelines to ensure safety and enjoyment for all guests. Here's a list of what you can bring into Disney World:
1. Bags: You can bring backpacks, purses, diaper bags, camera bags, etc., but note that all bags must be no larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. All bags are subject to inspection at the park entrance.
2. Food and Drinks: Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed, provided they are not in glass containers and do not require heating, reheating, processing, refrigeration, or temperature control. Snack items or foods that do not require heating are ideal.
3. Water Bottles: Empty reusable water bottles are allowed, and you can fill them at various water stations throughout the parks. Sealed water bottles (plastic) are also permissible.
4. Clothing: Bring comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. Costumes may only be worn by guests aged 14 years or younger, except during special events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, where costume guidelines vary.
5. Strollers: Strollers are allowed but must be no larger than 31" (79 cm) wide and 52" (132 cm) long. Stroller wagons are also prohibited.
6. Wheelchairs and ECVs: Guests can bring their own wheelchairs or Electronic Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs), or they can rent them at the park.
7. Photography Equipment: Personal photography equipment, like cameras and smartphones, is allowed. However, selfie sticks are prohibited.
8. Portable Chargers: Since you'll likely use your phone for photos, the Disney app, and more, a portable charger can be very handy.
9. Medication and Medical Supplies: Medications (with identification and labels) and small coolers for medication storage are allowed.
10. Umbrellas, Ponchos, and Sunscreen: Weather at Disney World can be unpredictable, so bring items for rain or intense sun.
11. Toys: Light-up toys or glow items are allowed and can be great during nighttime events.
Prohibited Items:
- Alcohol, Marijuana, and Illegal Substances
- Weapons of any kind or objects that appear to be weapons (e.g., toy guns)
- Folding chairs
- Large tripods or monopod stands that cannot fit inside a standard backpack
- Pets (service animals are permitted)
Make sure to adhere to these guidelines to ensure a smooth entry process and a pleasant experience at the park. If in doubt about a specific item, it's best to check Disney World’s official website or contact their customer service for clarity before your visit.
